CNPS GRE Screen Pipe Optimized Coalbed Methane Well

Our composite screen pipe is 40% more durable than metal screen pipe and can resist acidic substances in coal seams. With just one simple, lightweight, and corrosion-resistant insertion, stable coalbed methane production can be achieved.

Glassfibre Reinforced Epoxy Screen Pipe System

  • Compared to API 5CT steel, this product offers 40% improved collapse resistance.
  • Corrosion-resistant GRE pipe body suitable for sour or CO2 wells.
  • Notch accuracy of 0.15-0.5 mm effectively controls sand intrusion.
  • A 35% weight reduction simplifies drilling rig operation and reduces fuel consumption.
  • Compatible with high-quality screen joints and elastomeric seals.

What is CNPS High-Pressure RTP Pipe?

At CNPS, we’ve revolutionized sand control with our GRE screens. GRE screens are composite filter tubes made of glass-reinforced epoxy resin and coated with precision grooves. The inert GRE matrix effectively resists hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, and produced water, while its high axial strength withstands the loads of frac packing and thermal cycling. Eliminating metal eliminates galvanic corrosion, reduces operating weight by one-third, and extends the screen’s life beyond the producing zone. The end result is safer deployments, more stable production, and thousands of dollars saved in remedial workover costs—all through your existing, familiar API connections.

Our Product

CNPS also produces a full range of GRE pipes and fittings to complement the GRE screen pipe solutions.

  • API 15HR GRE Tubing

High-performance tubing suitable for oilfield injection wells and production wells.

  • GRE Flanges

Leak-proof couplings and flanges compatible with CNPS GRE pipes.

  • Fiberglass Grating

Structural Fiberglass Grating suitable for use in maritime and industrial passageways.

GRE Screen Pipe's Rugged Features for Complex Well Conditions

Each GRE screen pipe combines a corrosion-resistant composite with precise filtration capabilities, delivering unparalleled sand and coal control in sour gas, deepwater, and coalbed methane projects, where metal screens often fail prematurely.

Global Certifications
Corrosion Resistance

The inert GRE matrix resists attack by carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, and chlorides—ideal for sour coal seams.

Fast Installation
High Pressure Resistance

A 40% improvement in pressure collapse and cracking ratings protects the screen during CBM cleanup and fracturing operations.

Precise Slots

Laser slots of 0.15-0.50 mm filter out coal fines while maximizing methane flow.

Broad Pressure & Temperature Window
Lightweight

At 35% lighter than steel, it helps improve logistics in mountainous coalbed methane fields and offshore drilling platforms.

CNPS Customizes GRE Screens, Suitable for Any Well Completion Scheme.

Each oil reservoir is unique, and so are our screens. Please provide your aperture size, temperature curve, and collapse range. We will customize the slot width, resin formula, and reinforcement plan according to your requirements. We may even pre-assemble expansion packers, tracer carriers, or flow control devices to enable your team to complete a single operation from the tray to the bottom of the well within a record time.

Relax and Deal with Corrosive Fluids

Unlike rigid metal screen pipes that are susceptible to corrosion from acidic gases and carbon dioxide, CNPS GRE screen pipes are extremely durable. No matter how harsh the environment is, they will not corrode, deform, or accumulate deposits. You can consider it as the silent guardian of the oil well, protecting the flow path from chemical wear and tear while saving you the cost of an inhibitor. Even if the fluid becomes corrosive, this pipe can remain calm, clean, and unaffected.

COMPANY ADVANTAGE

Why Choose CNPS for Composite Piping

CNPS delivers complete RTP systems—not just pipes. Our engineers specify classes, fittings, and accessories, then support training, QA, and commissioning. Global manufacturing and ISO 9001 processes ensure consistent quality and on-time delivery. Pre-qualified contractors and rapid reel logistics shorten installation windows, while responsive after-sales service safeguards uptime throughout operations.

How does the GRE pipe compare to the stainless steel used in acidic gas wells?

The composite material pipe body is not affected by hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide, and can eliminate pitting corrosion and sulfide stress cracking. Therefore, its service life is usually 2-3 times longer than that of stainless steel.

What slot sizes are available for selection?

The standard laser-cutting slot size range is from 0.15 millimeters to 0.50 millimeters, with an increment of 0.05 millimeters; custom sizes can be provided upon request.

Can GRE screens be used in high-temperature steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) wells?

Yes. Our high-temperature resin system has a rated temperature of 200°C and has passed the steam circulation test, with the anti-compression strength not being reduced.
